About the Show
The question is-- What does rain water harvesting and art have in common? Here's the answer: The Rain Barrel Art Show!
We gave Lee County artists a three-dimensional canvas, with the rain barrel as the “canvas," and told them they had unlimited creativity. The Rain Barrel Art Show became a fun way for Sustainable Sandhills to partner with the Lee County Arts Council and the artists to help spread the word about conserving our most valuable resource – WATER!
Sustainable Sandhills is a non-profit organization working in Lee County to raise awareness of green topics in the community. Rain water harvesting and water conservation are part of those topics. Water is one of our most precious resources and recycling rain water is just one way to use it wisely. The Lee County Arts Council is dedicated to “bringing arts to the community and the community to the arts” and our partnership does just that.
If you see a rain barrel that you think will make a wonderful addition to your yard and would like to purchase it, please contact Amanda Blue. Barrels are available for purchase for $125 each.
Thank you to all the artists for volunteering their time and talent to this show!
