  • NC DENR is offering workshops on recently passed NC Senate Bill 887 which launches implementation of North Carolina's new electronics legislation, which includes funding opportunities for local government electronics programs and specific requirements for how communities become eligible for funding.

THURSDAY, AUGUST 26  |  GREEN GROWTH TOOLBOX WORKSHOP

  • 8:30am - 4:30pm
  • Location:  Weymouth Woods Nature Preserve, 1024 N. Ft. Bragg Road, Southern Pines NC
  • Co-sponsored by Sustainable Sandhills and the NC Wildlife Resources Commission, the workshop is a GIS-based tool used to assist local governments in achieving more nature-friendly land use planning. 
  • The workshop consists of a morning session of interactive presentations and hands-on exercises followed by a field trip to a nearby wildlife habitat.
  • Full-day participants are eligible for APA CEU credits.
