The staff and programs of Sustainable Sandhills are currently funded by a mix of grant awards and the donations of a handful of visionary Sandhills citizens--see who they are by going to Sustainable Sandhills Members.
In order for us to achieve the dreams and ambitious goals of the organization, we need to build a broad base of membership from across the Region. VOLUNTEER!
We are always looking for volunteers to help in our office and at events. If you would like to become a Sustainable Sandhills volunteer, please give our Volunteer Coordinator your name, address, phone number, email address and the type of activities for which you would like to volunteer.
Examples of Volunteer opportunities are:
- Help us at our offices - research, data entry, envelope-licking....
- Join us at one of our events - like the Urban Farm Tour or a Community Action Team meeting
- Participate in a Native Plant Rescue day
- Help clean up a waterway in your community
- Help us with a tree inventory in your neighborhood
- Help us with our cultural resources inventory in your community
If you know of a specific issue in your community that we can help you with, let us know! Sustainable Sandhills will act as liaison for organizers and volunteers.
