APRIL 2025
SUSTAINABLE SANDHILLS RECEIVES GRANT FROM CUMBERLAND COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
Sustainable Sandhills is pleased to announce that Cumberland Community Foundation, Inc. has awarded the organization a $2700 grant to fund Earth Day outreach for 2025.
The grant was funded by the Waverly C. Broadwell Family Environmental Education Fund of Cumberland Community Foundation, Inc.
Sustainable Sandhills has used the grant funds to purchase outreach materials and conservation tools such as tire pressure gauges, bicycle tools, reusable straws and magnets that educate the community about the organization’s projects and encourage sustainable habits. The materials and tools support programs such as air quality and waste reduction and have been distributed at events during the month of April including the Earth Day is Every Day Fair.
As Sustainable Sandhills celebrates its 20th year of service in 2025, the organization is grateful for long term supporters such as Cumberland Community Foundation, Inc. for their generous contributions that sustain the mission – today, tomorrow and forever.
