IMMERSE YOURSELF IN THE BEAUTY OF THE SANDHILLS
The North Carolina Sandhills are full of interesting history, unique flora, fauna and geology, and illustrious residents! Join our guide for a trek through beautiful longleaf pine forests and immerse yourself in the local color of our region with a natural history hike, hosted by Sustainable Sandhills in partnership with NC State Parks.
Hikes are free and open to the public and suitable for nature enthusiasts of all skill levels. They are recommended for ages 8 and up.
Some of the terrain along the trails is uneven (such as tree roots and deep sand), so be prepared for a true nature experience!
Space is limited to 20 participants for each hike at Carver’s Creek State Park and 10 participants for each hike at Raven Rock State Park. Register by tapping the buttons below.
Public hikes usually happen in April/May and September/October.
We’re always happy to host your school group, club or civic organization for a special hike too! Contact us at info@sustainablesandhills.org to schedule a hike. We do require at least one month’s notice in order to file permits with NC State Parks.
